2013 KCC GT40 MK1
Registered correctly with the DVLA as a ‘KCC GT40’, this replica was imported from South Africa in 2023 by its current owner and proudly wears the legendary 1969 Gulf livery, paying homage to the iconic Le Mans-winning GT40 #1076.
The KCC GT40 is South Africa’s interpretation of the renowned KVA design, developed in the 1980s by Ken Vincent Atwell – an ex-Ford engineer who obtained permission to take moulds directly from an original GT40. KCC (Kit Car Centre) acquired the license to produce these replicas in Johannesburg, staying true to the car's celebrated DNA.

In Summary
KCC #092 is a vintage GT40 replica, combining authentic period styling with practical mechanical choices for reliability and usability on the road. It utilises Ford’s front and rear suspension systems, with coil springs all round with a very smooth ride. A recently completed chassis with full rose joint suspension, aluminium cladding and fibreglass rear clip are included in the price - transfer the car across and have a really good GT40. An ideal project for the replica builder starting out!

J'ai un faible pour ce genre d'engin, ça me rappel lorsque j'étais chasseur alpin et que des chenillettes similaires mais des Volvo, il me semble, nous tirait par groupe de 40 ou 50 derrière avec des cordes. Ce serait bien sur les paddocks du SSCT, pour sortir ceux qui sont dans l'herbe

pas si cher que cela pour une authentique GT40....ce que la lecture du texte laisse douter pour le coup. l'histoire est pour le moins "floue"

Oui on sait pas trop.... cela serait un des prototypes retrouvés avec sans moteur, ni boite avec pas mal de pièces manquantes et remonté avec des pièces originales !

Je dois être un des rares à aimer la plupart des museaux bizarres des prototypes MK1 de 64 !!! 

En tout cas celui de ce roadster est particulièrement réussi.

 

Ah! Si j'étais riche... J'en aurais un paquet de charrettes !

Engine 1

1971 Ford 302cu in/5.0 litre R.S (Real Steel UK) Crate Engine 330bhp - with Authenticity Certificate

The engine comes with harmonic balancer and bolt, oil pump and ARP bolt kit, gaskets set, header gaskets, H.D oil pump drive shaft

and FRAM oil filter. Maximum power is 330bhp and max torque occurs at 4000rpm (347ft lbs). Torque exceeds 300lbs from 3-5500rpm.

Included with this motor will be a set of GT Racing stainless steel "Bundle of snakes" exhaust with a pair of silencers.

* Note - the motor does not include alternator, distributor, manifold and carburettor or any other additional parts

1987 Ford 302cu in/5.0 litre fully rebuilt Roller Cam engine

Hastings rings, standard size DNJ bearings, Crankshaft re polished, Holley Street Dominator single plane intake (small runner),

Holley 600 carburettor, ARP stainless intake bolts, ARP heavy duty oil pump shaft, Comp Cams fuel pump eccentric kit,

distributor MSD (Fox Mustang), Ford Racing valve covers (needs breathers), new Aerolite 45 spark plugs, Fox Mustang pulleys,

GNB high volume water pump, new front sump and meling oil pickup, Reconditioned Ford timing cover, Ford Motorcraft FL1A oil

filter, Stainless timing/ water pump sump and rocker cover bolts, Felpro 9333 pt1 head gaskets, new ARP head bolts

(70ft lb in 3 stages, with ARP lube), Heads refurbished with new 220lb SBI valve springs, cleaned and relaped, New Ford roller lifters

with retainers and hold down kit, New Melling pushrods and New Summit Racing spark plug wires. The engine has been accurately

been repainted to the original Ford colours of the period. All cylinders have been tested at 120psi, and the rings still need to bed in.
